David Byers

David Byers is an attorney and President of Employment Law Consulting Group, specializing in providing guidance to employers for prevention of workplace and employment related problems and developing strategies to minimize exposure to employee claims, legal risks, and litigation.  He also provides mediation services on business and employment law related disputes.  He previously was a Senior Human Resources Attorney with JC Penney Company where he handled negotiations on more than 50 union contracts.  He served on the Governor’s Committee on People with Disabilities, and on the Dallas Mayor’s Committee on Employing People with Disabilities.  He is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management and of the American Society for Training and Development.   He is also a member and past officer of the Southwest Conflict Resolution Network.  David holds a BA in Political Science with a Minor in Education from Miami University and a Juris Doctor degree from the University of Cincinatti and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.
