Kristie brings a passion for public service that was developed and nurtured during her 7 years with the City of Round Rock. She joins SGR with over 11 years of professional Human Resources experience.

As the Senior Human Resources Manager with Round Rock, she developed and managed the Round Rock Employee Education (R2E2) Program as well as the award-winning New Employee Orientation program. In conjunction with her training & development responsibilities, Kristie was also a charter member of the Central Texas Training Alliance and worked closely with SGR to develop a Customer Service and Supervisory Academy in Central Texas.

After leaving the City of Round Rock, Kristie became the Director of Human Resources for Lone Star Circle of Care, a medical non-profit organization serving the uninsured and underserved population in Central Texas.

Kristie is a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) and obtained her Bachelor's of Arts in Business Communication from Augustana College.

Qualification Highlights:

• Health Benefit Plan Design: While at LSCC, Kristie designed and implemented a partially self-insured benefit plan that included health, dental, vision, short-term & long-term disability, and life insurance plans while reducing organizational premiums by $500,000.
• Employee Communication & Engagement: Throughout her career, Kristie has been both an employee and organizational advocate effectively communicating messages so all affected parties are not only listened to but understood. 
• Recruiting: While working in fast-paced, high-growth organizations throughout her career, Kristie has effectively recruited, oriented, and retained top-quality talent. While at LSCC, Kristie's team recruited and hired over 150 new employees. 
• HRIS Management: In today's digital age, organization's work hard to develop and maintain human resource information systems that assist in making required processes more efficient. Kristie has selected, implemented, and maintained HRIS systems in each industry in which she has worked. 
• Performance Management: Kristie brings an innovative approach to performance management and encourages those she works with to also think outside the box.
