Malcolm Jackson is Training Coordinator for Tarrant County College, one of the leading training agencies for law enforcement personnel, including a full service police academy serving the DFW Metroplex. He also serves as an Adjunct Professor of Criminal Justice and previously served as Director of Community Services, Deputy Director of Administrative Services and Deputy Director of Public Safety for the City of Southlake where he assisted in becoming the first city in the nation to achieve a dual accreditation for Police and Fire. Malcolm previously served as Director of Public Safety for Watauga, as a police officer for Grapevine and with the Wise County Sheriff’s Department.
He also served on the International Association of Chiefs of Police Small Department Advisory Board, and on the American and International Law Ethics Advisory Council for the Institute of Law Enforcement Administration, as well as on the North Lake College Dispute Resolution and Conflict Management Advisory Committee. Malcolm has also served on the Board of Directors for the Southwest Conflict Resolution Network, and has completed the mediation practicum with the EEOC.
Malcolm holds a Master Peace Officer Certification, as well as a Fire Fighter Certification and a Telecommunications (Dispatch) Certification. He was previously certified as an Emergency Medical Technician. He also holds a Canine Police Patrol and Narcotics Detection K9 Handler certificate and a Crime Prevention Inspector License as well as an Advanced Law Enforcement Firearms Instructor Certificate. In addition, Malcolm holds certificates as a Police Instructor from the Texas Commission on Law Enforcement Standards and an Ethics Instructor Certificate from the Institute for Law Enforcement Administration. He also holds a Dispute Resolution/Mediator Certificate and a Family Law Mediation Certificate from Southern Methodist University, as well as a Cultural Diversity Instructor Certificate from the Southwestern Law Enforcement Institute.
Malcolm is graduate of the Professional Police Management College of the Southwest Law Enforcement Institute. He holds an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice from Tarrant County College, as well as a Bachelor of Business Administration from Northwood College, and a Master’s in Dispute Resolution from SMU.
