Since 1999, Ron Holifield has served as CEO of Strategic Government Resources, which provides support for the 160 member cities of the Municipal Training Alliance Network.  SGR has rapidly grown into one of the leading executive search firms in Texas, through which   Ron also provides extensive coaching, mentoring and development for Next Generation Leaders.  Clients have included NASA, TXU, American Express, IBM, Xerox, Verizon, and many other leading companies, as well as The Innovation Groups, a non profit association of over 500 local governments nationwide. 

During a two decade career in city management, Ron developed a reputation as a change management specialist who rapidly and dramatically transformed the organizations he led. 

Ron has been interviewed or quoted by numerous media outlets including Government Technology Magazine, GovWire Online Magazine, Federal Computer Week Magazine, CIO Magazine, DFW Tech Biz, Today Newspapers, Focus on the News, International Association of Chief's of Police Journal, and a variety of local media outlets.  Ron has written one book, contributed to two others, and has written several articles.  He is a frequent speaker at various events across the nation.
