Business Improvement Consulting Services recognizes that the unique challenges faced by local government can best be addressed with a consulting team who has extensive experience both in local government and in the specific operational area being addressed.
SGR maintains the strongest network of local government experts in the nation. All of our team members have both consulting expertise and hands on experience as senior executives in local government.
Most consulting firms rely upon generalist consultants with limited real world experience in local government operations. They are experts in producing management studies, but often have never actually managed the operational areas they are studying. By contrast, SGR assembles a consulting team for every project which is uniquely designed to meet your particular needs.
A typical consulting team will include a project manager with assistant city manager experience, a consultant with department director or assistant department director experience in the particular operational area being assessed, a process improvement expert and support staff. When needed, specialty disciplines are added to the team as well. All work is conducted under the direct oversight of SGR’s Director of Business Improvement Consulting, Rob Franke, who is both a licensed engineer with project management expertise, as well as experience as an elected official.
