Celebrating the Remarkable Career of Jennifer Fadden
At the end of this month, we will bid a fond farewell to an extraordinary colleague and friend, Jennifer Fadden, as she steps into a well-earned and planned retirement. While it’s difficult to imagine SGR without her daily presence, we are filled with deep gratitude for the impact she has made—not only on our organization, but on local government professionals across the country.
Before joining SGR, Jennifer dedicated more than two decades to serving Texas communities with distinction. She held key leadership roles including City Manager in Colleyville, TX and in Weatherford, TX, earning a reputation for innovation, operational excellence, and servant leadership. Her calm, strategic mindset and people-first approach left a lasting mark on the cities she served and the professionals who worked alongside her.
Jennifer brought to SGR a powerful combination of executive experience, a servant leader’s heart, and an unwavering commitment to developing others. Whether coaching city managers, guiding recruitment processes, or mentoring the next generation of leaders, she has done it all with wisdom, integrity, and grace. Her influence has rippled far beyond the walls of SGR—shaping careers, strengthening organizations, and modeling what exceptional public service looks like.
As she closes this chapter, we want to thank Jennifer for the legacy she leaves behind: one of trust, excellence, and quiet strength. She’s been a steady compass for many, and we know the relationships she’s built will continue to inspire long after her retirement.
We encourage Jennifer’s many friends, colleagues, and clients in the local government family to reach out (jenniferfadden@governmentresource.com), celebrate her journey, and let her know just how deeply she’s appreciated. She’s certainly earned it.
With admiration and thanks,
Darin Atteberry
