Rudy Jackson began his career in local government with the Fort Worth Fire Department in 1982 and worked his way up the ranks, becoming fire captain in 1994 and battalion chief three years later. He served as chief training officer from 2002 to 2004, fire marshal until 2006 and then was promoted to deputy chief. In 2007, Jackson was promoted to Fire Chief and served the City of Fort Worth in that role until he retired in 2018. Rudy now serves SGR as Sr. Vice President in Executive Recruitment.

Rudy is a Board Member for Lena Pope Home Incorporated and actively involved with First Greater New Hope Baptist Church.
