Perryton is a tight-knit, family-oriented community of approximately 8,500 residents located in the northern Texas Panhandle near the Oklahoma border. The Perryton Fire Department is a city-operated department serving all of Ochiltree County. With a strong emphasis on brush fire response, the department supports both paid and volunteer firefighters.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

• High school diploma or GED

• 5+ years of fire service experience

• Certified Firefighter and First Responder

• Texas driver’s license with appropriate fire truck designation

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE:

• 3+ years of leadership or supervisory experience

• Experience in oil/gas industry fire response

• Familiarity with small-town emergency operations

The City of Perryton offers a salary range of $80,000 – $85,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
