Bee Cave is a scenic, family-friendly Hill Country community known for its thriving retail centers, outdoor recreation, and small-town charm. Located just 17 miles west of downtown Austin and near the lakes region, Bee Cave offers abundant shopping, dining, and cultural events.

The Planning & Development Department shapes Bee Cave’s physical landscape and guides its future growth. The department manages land use through zoning, development agreements, and long-range planning. The ideal candidate will have experience in municipal engineering, including design oversight and stormwater management.

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field
  • Minimum five (5) years of relevant engineering experience
  • Licensed Professional Engineer in Texas, or ability to obtain within one year

Preferred:

  • National Flood Insurance Program training
  • Knowledge of GIS
  • Familiarity with transportation engineering and drainage design manuals

Compensation: $118,355 to $177,533 DOE/DOQ
